XES In-vacuum X-ray emission spectrometer
2017 | ESRF
In-vacuum X-ray emission spectrometer for the beamline ID26. This project concerns the design, fabrication, installation and testing of a system composed of 11 motorized axis and its vacuum vessel. Acuracy: 5um/urad in some of the axes.
Study, manufacture and installation of the in-vacuum x-ray emission spectrometer for the beamline ID26. In addition to the general design, it was AVS responsibility to produce all manufacturing drawings, tolerancing, materials selection, welding plan and strategy, manufacturing technologies.
The machine is part of the High Brilliance X-ray Spectographer at ID26 ESRF. It has 8 UHV moving axis and 2 ATM moving axis design, manufactured and tested by AVS. The inside pressure is 1E-6 mbar. The performance of each axis ranges from resolutions and repeatabilities of 1 [um] to a few 100[um]. The control system ICEPAP was used to test the axis.
Ultimate vacuum: 8E-08mbar.
